Strategic Route 3, also known as Central-Western Bridge, Southern Central Road and Axis Road, is a major highway in Sunshine Islands. It begins at Container's Island in Zone 1, passes through Zones 4 and 6, and concludes in Senpai (Zone 7). The route includes toll sections at the Central - Western Bridge and the Leafy - Central Tunnel.
Route description[]
Route 3 begins at a free-flowing stack interchange with Strategic Route 2 in Containers Island, where it begins as a 3-lane expressway heading eastward towards Moon Island. Immediately after the interchange, a bus stop named the Central - Western Interchange for passengers transferring buses in the Islands are available. After this, the expressway climbs through a slope before turning northwest to Moon Island, travelling on the Central - Western Bridge, and enters Zone 4.
Entering Zone 4, the road exits the bridge and enters Moon Island, travelling eastward towards Zone 7 and Senpai and shifts to a four-lane highway as Southern Central Road through Zone 4. Immediately following the lane transition, the road makes a T interchange with Strategic Route 1, also known as the Central Interchange, with access to Central and Southern, as well as Sunshine Railway Station. Here, eastbound Route 3 goes into a 2-lane underground tunnel, the Southern Central Road Tunnel, under the main interchange. An elevated-modified trumpet interchange (Southern Interchange) immediately follows for access to Eastmallow and Sunshine University. At the interchange, a toll road begins as the Leafy-Central Tunnel, travelling underground to enter Zone 7.
Entering Zone 7, Route 3 exits the Leafy-Central Tunnel toll road and begins as a two to four-lane urban arterial road with signal intersections as Axis Road for its length within Zone 7. A partial-modified cloverleaf interchange with Strategic Route 4 (Leafy Road) immediately follows, allowing access to southern Leafy Island and Zone 8. A bus station named the Zone 7 Interchange follows after for buses. After, the road continues east with signalized intersections before it ends at the roundabout with South Bay Road near Zone 8. During this segment, BRT bus stops with shelters are located in the median of the road. A bus HOV lane is also available during this segment. The roads speed limit for its entirety as a 3-4 lane expressway is 80 km/h (except the section of Axis Road between Senpai Road to South Bay Road is 110 km/h), within the T interchange with Strategic Route 1 is 70 km/h, and as an urban arterial road is 50 km/h.

The route begins on Container's Island at an interchange with Route 2, and immediately crosses the sea over the Central-West Bridge. It then heads east on Southern Central Road. There is an interchange around halfway down Southern Central Road with Route 1. It then descends into the Leafy - Central Tunnel to cross the sea once again to Leafy Island. It then continues west as Axis Road. This is the only part of the route with signalled, level intersections. Some of the places accessible from Axis Road include YiYan Street, Kamaya Garden, Senpai Road and Leafy Road.
