Sabow Bridge

Sabow Bridge is located between Leafy Island and Haisey, which connect Rainbow Road and Highson Road near Haisey Roundabout.

Overview[]

Sabow Bridge is located between the southeast edge of Leafy Island near Lower Rainbow Estate, and southwest of Haisey Island near Haisey Roundabout. It features crosswalks on both ends and a cycling track on the northern side of the bridge. Vehicles traveling from Rainbow can reach Haisey Estate via Highson Road or head to East Door or the northern side of Haisey Island via South Bay Road, or travel to Leafy Bay via South Bay Highway, and vice versa for vehicles traveling from Haisey toward Rainbow.

This bridge is one of four routes connecting Zone 7 and Zone 8, along with East Door Port Bridge, South Bay Road, and South Bay Highway. While this route accommodates the most bus routes, it is the least used by other vehicles. This is likely because the bridge only links to Rainbow, which takes more time to access other regions in Zone 7 compared to South Bay Road and South Bay Highway. To avoid congestion near the bridge at the Rainbow end, only some bus routes stop at the bus stop, while other routes stop at Rainbow Estate Complex bus terminus and omit this stop.

Bus Stops[]

There are two bus stops located at both ends of the bridge: Rainbow Estate Complex on the Rainbow side and Haisey Roundabout on the Haisey side. The former is situated on the bridge surface, while the latter is located on Highson Road near the end of the bridge.

Usage Status[]

Despite having only one lane on each side, the bridge accommodates many bus routes, especially during peak hours. As a result, it is primarily used by buses and may experience congestion in the eastbound lane during the morning peak hours. For most of the day, it maintains moderate usage.
