Rocky Road Bus Terminus, also known simply as Rocky Road, and as North Island (Rocky Road) (北島(巨石路)) for KMB/First Bus is a bus terminus and midway bus stop, located besides the junction between Rocky Road and North Island Road on North Island, Zone 4.
History[]
The first iteration of Rocky Road was opened in 2018, with Routes 148 and 475 first terminating here, with Route 49A stopping at the nearby "Rocky Road Turning Point" bus stop, located on Rocky Road itself. In the Norton update, both routes were extended to Norton Town Center, leaving the northbound terminus abandoned, though the southbound platform towards North Island Road remained in use, with Route 42 and Route 141 passing through this bus stop towards Southern Central and Norton Town Center respectively.
In the V2.0 update, Rocky Road took over North Island Estate Shopping Centre as the new bus terminus for the North Island Hill area. Route 42 was moved to terminate at Rocky Road, while its more direct counterpart, Route 42A, also terminating at Rocky Road. In addition, two new routes, Route N171 and Route 475A also stops at this bus stop in its southbound direction.
Surrounding facilities[]
Rocky Road Bus Terminus is next to North Island School Village, resulting in most of the passengers using this bus stop being students of it. In addition, the old Rocky Road Turning Point remained in the rework, with the turning point now used by Route 49A buses for entering the bus terminus in its southbound direction.
