Norton Town Centre Bus Terminus (北頓市中心) is a bus terminus and a midway stop, located besides Norton Praya Road at Norton, Zone 4.
Most of the routes terminating at this stop will detour a loop via Norton Estate and Norton Garden after departing or before arriving at this terminus. Hence, except for 41A, very few passengers board or alight at this stop, as passengers in the region will mainly board at Emerald Plaza or alight at Norton Ferry Pier to save time from detouring through the loop.
History[]
Norton Town Centre was opened on 20 June, 2020 as part of the North Island expansion, which included the addition of Norton, with 5 routes, 47, 141, 148, 462 and 475 terminating here. Route 41A serves the terminal on trips towards Sunshine Pier only.
With the release of the 2.0 update on June 1st, 2024, Route 462 was suspended due to the closure of Horizon Island, with Route 472 added in its place. In addition, Routes 475A, N472, N476, C401 and C401A were all added to terminate at Norton Town Centre, while Routes 160R and R148 were added, and serves the bus stop as a midway stop.
Surrounding facilities[]
Being the main bus station for Norton as a whole, Norton Center is located above the bus terminus, serving as the town's main shopping mall. Emerald Plaza is located across the street from Norton Road, which is also served by its own bus stop, with Norton Tower located a short walk away from the bus terminus. Norton Ferry Pier is also located across the road from North Island Road, with ferry services to the rest of Sunshine Islands.
