Norton Estate (北頓邨) is an intermediate bus stop located at Norton which was opened in 2020 along with the Norton update (V1.5), a pair of bus stops locate at the roadsides on both directions of Norton Hill Road near Norton Estate.
Even some sections of Norton Hill Road have gradient of 1:6. However, the bus stops are built on the relative gentle slope of the road and therefore the stop are not required for the bus stopped completely.
The bus stops often get busy and even crowded at rush hours, as there are not extra platforms for diversion of waiting passengers, and the vehicles cannot overtake when a bus is stopped due to the road design.
History[]
- On 20 June 2020, route 41A, 141P serve the stops after it start operating. Route 47, 148, 475 added this stop on their routing.
- On 1 June 2024, route 160R was rerouted and added this stop on the routing. Route 472, 475A, N472, N476, C401 and C401A started to serve this stop after it start operating.
Currently, the stops serve 7 normal daytime routes and 4 overnight routes.
