Northern Beach (北灘) is a bus terminus located at the end of Rocky Road on North Island. Since its opening in 2017, until a major renovation in June 2020, the terminus served just one route, 49A, and was widely regarded as one of the most remote bus termini in Sunshine Islands. Due to the rough road conditions of Rocky Road, only single-decker buses were allowed.
On June 20, 2020, the terminal was revamped as part of the North Island expansion, now being a bus stop at the northern end of Rocky Road (as a turnaround point). Buses may also park here by stopping past the bus stop. In addition, the small beachfront community was replaced with a larger one on the slopes of the mountains and the North Beach Centre. The facility functions as a hotel and a local mall, hosting tourists that visit the area.
On April 1, 2022 (A.K.A. the April Fools Day), some parts of the pathway and shelters were deleted for airplane runways. The runway is for a new route that has joined into Northern Beach (41AF). Because of the increase in demand for the bus plane service, with residents and tourists alike wanting to try it, it made the terminal more crowded and consequently, led to a major increase in service on most days to accommodate tourists. Route 41AF was discontinued on April 29, 2022 and the terminal has since been restored to its original layout.
It was also the site where the former Beach 1 bus stop used to be; the site is now the spawn point for buses from Northern Beach.
