Lunar Point

Lunar Point (明月角), previously named Moon Island West (月亮島西) is a bus terminus located in Northern in Zone 4.

The terminus was opened in 2018, and is located at the roadside of a roundabout on West Moon Road near Lunar Point Hotel. Since only routes 46 and 473 serve this terminus during the daytime, and with only one hotel named Lunar Point nearby, the terminus is quiet for most of the day.

Passengers can use the bridge access nearby to Western Harbour Tunnel Interchange for boarding bus to North Island and Zone 1.

History[]

On 14 April 2018, the bus terminus was opened and routes 46 and 473 have been terminate here after they start operating.
On 24 May 2019, the new roundabout at Moon Island West is built. The bus stop location is slightly modified.
On 1 June 2024, the area was rebuilt and renamed Lunar Point and route C401A started to serve this stop as a mid-way stop. The Sunshine Express depot building was demolished, so the "bus depot" is just a large square of tarmac.

Currently, 2 normal daytime routes and 1 overnight route stop at this terminus.

In the future, it is possible that Lunar Point will close down when Central West opens, because both routes 473 and 46 will terminate there.
