Forever Transit (aka FT) is one of the bus operators in Sunshine Islands, owned by BusDriverKLN.

Introduction[]

Forever Transit is the fifth operator in the Sunshine Islands. Initially only having 5 routes, the company currently operates buses in the northern part of Zone 1 (Long Island) and Zone 4 as of June 29, 2024, after acquiring the remaining Sunshine Express operations. Combined with FT Central Connect, FT operate with 22 bus routes (18 normal bus routes and 4 special bus routes), which having the second most bus routes of any bus company in the game. Some private hire routes travel across the Islands which are operated by Forever Transit, alongside other operators on an as-needed basis.

History[]

Forever Transit was founded in June 2017, their first place served is Forever City, a previous map made by Addisonshiu before he created Sunshine Islands, which became too large and caused major lag, making it unplayable. Forever City closed in 2017; however, they retained their name from Forever City.

In November 2017, they started operations in West Door City, their current main hub. They also operate in Derry District, Tung Shing and Hanwick City in December 2017, August 2018 and October 2019 respectively. However, their operation in Tung Shing ended upon the map's closure in November 2019.

In September 2018, FT started operations in the Sunshine Islands with Route 140. Forever Transit also gained a contract for Route 25, which connects Long Island to the rest of Zone 1 and Route 171P, their only route serving Zone 7.

Currently, FT bears the title of being one of the largest virtual operators in the Hong Kong Roblox community by several cities served, a title which they shared with Metrobus Roblox[1][2] It's also worth mentioning that Sunshine Island was once the only map that Forever Transit served but a depot was not constructed, which was a rare sight within Roblox Virtual Operators. [3]This however changed when Central Connect was introduced where they finally had a depot to use.

Forever Transit is also a part of Forever Group, which includes MatTrans, Central Connect and Sunshine Express (formerly) as its group members.

On June 1, 2024, Forever Transit was supposed to take over the Zone 4 tender from the Sunshine Islands Government (the remaining Sunshine Express operations), which will be operated under the Central Connect brand. However, due to a delay in the delivery of the Central Connect buses, this made Forever Transit missed the V2 launch. Therefore, Sunshine Islands Bus ran services with its branding from June 1, 2024, until delivery of refurbished buses, with the government handing over the tender on June 28, 2024.

Starting June 29, 2024, Forever Transit launched its Central Connect brand and subdivision, with the appropriately branded buses now in the Islands, which will replace services that were previously operated by Sunshine Islands Bus/Sunshine Express. This will make Forever Transit the largest operator by number of routes in the Sunshine Islands. Consequently, every island, other than Horizon Island is served by at least one Forever Transit-operated route.

Trivia[]

  • Between 2021 and June 2024, Forever Transit's public fleet solely consisted of double deck buses, with smaller ones used for less busy services.
  • In addition, FT used to be the only company that didn't own a depot in the Sunshine Islands. Buses are parked at Long Island Ferry Pier Terminus, Sunshine Pier and sometimes Sunshine Station when not in use. Meanwhile, repairs are either carried out in West Door City, their main hub; or contracted to REBC's depot in Dove Estate. This trait was no longer true since 29 June 2024, as Forever Transit was able to lease space in SIB’s Lunar Point Depot and store its buses there.
  • From June 1 to June 28, 2024, Forever Transit was the only bus company in the Islands that only operated one model, the Alexander Dennis Enviro500 MMC, making its fleet the most monotonous in the Islands - the Central Connect single deck buses are the only non-Alexander Dennis buses in the Sunshine Islands fleet. The only other operator with a sole Alexander Dennis fleet is Sunshine Islands Bus.
