Overview[]
East Door Bus Terminus (東門總站), formerly named East Door Ferry Pier Bus Terminus (東門碼頭) was opened in 2018 (to be confirmed). The bus terminus is located outside East Door Commercial Center main entrance while a mid-way bus stop located at the northbound side of East Door Road near East Door Complex.
The terminus underwent a major overhaul on 6 February 2021 as part of the East Door update. Screenshots of the revamped East Door area have been released by AddisonShiu, but none show the terminus. With this update, more reclaimed land was added between the terminal and the East Door Bay, thus relocating the pier, which means that the ferry pier is only accessible by walking through East Door Estate.
Despite being named as a terminus, after V2.0, only route 673 terminate here as a returning point and no bus routes are starting or ending service here. The terminus majorly acts as a mid-way bus stop. Consequently, this bus terminus doesn't have any bus spawn bays.
History[]
- On 8 August 2018, route 475 stopped at this stop after it started operating.
- On 2 March 2019, route 171R started to serve this stop when there is a show at Sunshine Stadium.
- On 24 January 2020, route 171P stopped at this stop after it started operating.
- On 25 July 2020, route 75 stopped at this stop after it started operating.
- On 6 February 2021, route 74A no longer stop at here and the first generation of route 475A was discontinued and replaced with routes 475/75 routing. At the same time, route 673 started operating and the terminus was renamed to East Door Bus Terminus, which is the current name of the terminus.
- On 1 June 2024, new routes 75P, 475P, N171, N472, N476 and crew route C01 serve this bus terminus, with the adjustment of platforms allocation at the terminus area.
Currently, 6 daytime routes and 4 overnight routes serve East Door Bus Terminus as a mid-way stop and 1 daytime route terminates here.
