This route only runs during Sunshine Marathon, taking Zone 4 residents to the starting point of the race.
This route operates via the Central-Western Bridge, but it's numbered as 1XX, which means it was intended to operate via the Western Harbour Tunnel in both directions. However, the original routing can be derived from the tunnel but service operating via the Central-Western Bridge is likely due to it being closed when the Marathon occurs.

This route sees passengers travelling from Eastmallow, Northern, North Island and Central who are participating in the Sunshine Marathon at Dove Park. Ridership depends on how close the trip is to the start of the event.
Controversy[]
Since its introduction alongside Daily Challenges, Route R148 has received backlash from many players due to its frequent appearances over routes that had yet to appear (and in turn, blocking the Completionist and company-specific achievements). Many players have also criticized the route for having a low pax flow, averaging only around 60-70 passengers per trip. As a result, R148 is often deemed to be the most hated route on Sunshine Islands.
