Zone 4 route 46 is operated by FT Central Connect, travelling between Lunar Point and Eastmallow Praya Road. As a local service, it connects the northern end of Moon Island to the rest of the FTCC bus network.
History[]
- On 14 April 2018, 46 started its service.
- On 24 May 2019, the new roundabout at Moon Island West is built. The route and stop location were slightly modified.
- On 21 March 2020, Eastmallow area was rebuilt. The bus stops and terminus location in the area is slightly adjusted.
- On 1 June 2024, with the release of the 2.0 update and buildings adjustment, the route no longer stops at Eastmallow Estate - Spring House and West Moon Road. The bus frequency had also been massively reduced to an interval of 15 minutes during peak hours. Moon Island West terminus was also renamed to Lunar Point.
- In addition, operations were assumed by Sunshine Islands Bus using Alexander Dennis Enviro500s and Alexander Dennis Enviro500 MMCs.
- On 29 June 2024, Forever Transit Central Connect began operating this route.

Usage Status[]
Due to its infrequent bus service and only serving the Northern part of Moon Island, along with Route 47's higher frequency and having a larger coverage across Zone 4, Route 46 has one of the lowest passenger traffic across the entirety of Sunshine Islands, with most service only receiving a few passengers every trip, especially on non-peak hours. Therefore, its service stripped to one bus every 30 minutes during most off-peak hours.

- Due to route 46 being extremely short, it also has the lowest fare out of any bus route in the Islands, except for free bus routes such as the U47 and Private Hire services
- For unknown reasons, the automated announcements on this route would announce all the bus stops in Eastmallow Estate as "Sunny House - Eastmallow Estate" rather than its actual building name (e.g. Light House and Flower House). Furthermore, the Chinese version of the aforementioned bus stop has the announcement as "東錦葵邨 - 陽葵樓" instead of 東錦葵邨 - 陽葵屋".
