Bus route 41A

Zone 4 route 41A is a local route that is operated by FT Central Connect, which travels between Northern Beach and Sunshine Pier, passing via Norton, Northern Interchange and Central Hospital. This was one of the route changes introduced with the Norton new town, and as of the 2.0 update, it has become one of the two routes that are unlocked to a new player at the start besides Route 42A.

A restriction on tri-axle buses (Specifically Alexander Dennis Enviro500 MMC) used to be in place due to weight restrictions and tight roads in Norton and Northern Beach, so buses with two axles are recommended for this route. Therefore, before the implementation of route U47, Sunshine Express often deployed its coaches to this route where they would sometimes interline with route 49A.

However, during peak hours by then, Alexander Dennis Enviro500 MMCs would also be deployed on this route according to the dispatch list, as a preventative measure to combat overcrowding. The restriction has then been removed after road testing being conducted.

In V2 update, this route was classified as Central Axis. Player finishes this route along with 25, 42 and 74A (in both directions) can get Central Axis achievement.

History[]

20/6/2020: Route 41A begins service at 10:00 pm HKT, running between Sunshine Station and Northern Beach.
12/1/2024: Route 41A will be extended to Sunshine Pier in the future as debunked by addisonshiu, as new exposures will be needed for KMB and NWFB Enviro500s
1/6/2024: Route 41A was taken over by Sunshine Islands Bus and extended to Sunshine Pier.
29/6/2024: Service is now operated by Forever Transit under the Central Connect subdivision instead of Sunshine Express.

Usage Status[]

As the main local route within Zone 4, this route sees decent ridership between Sunshine Pier and stops in Norton. While a single deck bus may see heavier loads, double deck buses are often used on this route as ridership can be high, especially during peak hours when people travel to and from Central.

Like most routes serving Norton, most passengers travelling across zone boundaries may transfer at Northern Interchange for onward connections.

In terms of drivers actually driving the route, this route is one of the most common routes driven, along with the 42A and the 140, mostly by new players. If you join any public server, there is an almost 100% guarantee that you will see someone driving this route.
